This is only the second non-architectural photograph I've submitted to dA. Before, and even at the beginning of, my study abroad program, I never believed that I would be able to visit Scandanavia. When my roomate took our first travel break to go to Sweden, Norway, and Finland, I couldn't resist going with him.

This photo is one of many I took while riding in a boat down a fjord in Norway. The scenery was incredible; high mountain peaks dissapearing into dark waters, and these picturesque little towns nestled into the folds of the mountains. Absolutely beautiful.

I love the lines of this shot, with the curl of the boat's wake, the shear of the mountain face, the shoreline... I'm pretty happy with it.

hehe, thanks a lot... it was an interesting day. pretty grey, but the colors of the trees, water, mountain face... even the clouds can't dull them sometimes. thanks for the comment.

Really good shot! Hmm.. reminds me I have to do that again some day. Fjords are cool, somebody got a price for designing them ;)

Wow!! Nice shot man. I especially love how the water goes from rough looking to satiny smooth. The colors in the trees on the bluff are gorgeous as well. Puts me in mind of fall. Lovely. A nice break from your architecture photos? Nice choice. :clap:
