I've been saving this one for a while, partially because this is probably my favorite church I visited while Europe (it's a close race though). The experience was wonderful... the lighting was perfect, it was a nice quiet day, in a beautiful picturesque town. Right to the side of this church, down a cliff, was flowing vineyard fields... just gorgeous. I love the pure white of the church, it's banding (the dark stripes)... just the tradition and old-feel of it. Very cool.
Beautiful. Strange how the dark bands get wider the closer they get to the front. Makes for something interesting to gaze at during services I suppose. Wonderful shot Brian.
The colours of the stone are beautifully captured. Good perspective, i would only liked the last window to be complete and the column too. The sets were at the limit but light came out very nice. The view point and angle are very good!
i totally agree on the window and column... i guess i wasn't composing to the edge of the frame. too awestruck! The light was actually pretty intense for such an old church, and so you get a little burnout at the closer windows. as always... thanks for the great comments!

interesting observation. I didn't really notice that. i didn't mention in the desctription, but while i was there, a few monks/priests/church people (not sure who they were) have a small vocal performance. Absolutely enchanting. I was sitting there sketching in this beautiful church, the lighting was perfect, and these heavenly voices were drifting through the stone walls. Fantastic! Thanks for the comments.
